When Was The Last Time You Treated Yourself to a Facial?

I love a good facial, but to be honest, it’s painfully hard finding a good one. In the beauty world most products contain a frightening concoction of ingredients that are not only damaging to the natural physiology of your skin but also can leave you looking worse than before entering the day spa.

Prior to my education and experience in the health and beauty industry I would get all excited and treat myself to a luxurious facial. The results, however, were horrible: red, aggravated skin. Later I would learn that mainstream beauty brands are not the best option for improving the health and beauty of my skin, and so begun the search for ethical, natural brands that delivered what they promised.

I have found a handful of gems and wholeheartedly love not only the products used, but the entire experience of the facial. My skin undoubtedly looked and felt much better after each of these treatments as well as my overall sense of wellbeing. Here they are:

Hands down, my favourite facial is by Sharon McGlinchey of MV Organic Skincare, and lucky for us Aussies, she’s right here in our backyard. Sharon’s facial is no ordinary treatment. She combines the healing technique of Reiki within her facial leaving you feeling in a state of deep peace and tranquillity. Every time I leave Sharon’s Radiance Room my skin truly glows.

My other favourites are Ila Spa, and The Organic Pharmacy, both unfortunately located overseas, but well worth a visit if you happen to be near one of their outlets, especially after all that air travel.

I am however dying to try a facial by Australian brand Sodashi, as the products are divine.
