“Everybody realises the issues. Nobody actually acts. There is no time to be silent. There is no time to excuse. The time is now. Let’s start. The future is in our hands. And to make it better we must first change ourselves. Shed all the hatred, all the envy, all of the sadness. Be kind. Smile. and forgive. Continue reading
October is Vegetarian Awareness Month, a wonderful initiative to help inspire us to think about what goes in our mouth and how our choices can impact the world in which we share. We can all stick our head in the sand, if we so choose, and ignore the reality of what goes on in the world. Or we can do something about it. We live on this planet and have the power to vote every day with the choices we make at the supermarket/deli/grocery and department store. Every time you buy a product you are saying to that company, ‘keep on doing what you are doing.’ You are supporting everything that company does: every source of raw material, every packaging solution, every environmental standard that they are undertaking, every form of employee relations, every marketing choice. Sometimes when we get dis-ease in the body, it has nothing to do with “catching a virus” or “catching a bug” or pulling a muscle, but more so to do with some other underlying emotional issue or unresolved issue from the past; and sometimes we create the dis-ease, pain or discomfort ourselves on the subconscious level, and other times something different altogether, beyond our rational thinking mind. A wonderful initiative to help inspire us to think about what goes in our mouth and how our choices can impact the world in which we share. I am forever grateful and deeply inspired by people who live their lives boldly; those who aren’t afraid to take that leap of faith in to the unknown; to follow their heart and take risks so that their dreams can perhaps one day become a reality; to create new dreams; to step up and challenge the “norms” and what society conditions us to believe as “real” or “truth”; those who seek consciousness, to “wake up” from the disillusions of what it means to live, to be successful and to be happy. Warning … this is not going to be pleasant. In fact, it will make you squirm, weep and want to throw up. Well … that’s the affect it had on me. But it is an issue very close to my heart, with facts that need to be shared so that we can all make better, more informed, more conscious, more compassionate, and more loving choices.
Can’t wait to see this movie “I AM.” Beautiful visuals and beautiful message! Especially love the message … “we started by asking what’s wrong with the world and we ended up discovering what’s right with it.”
I was recently fortunate enough to discover Aura-Soma, a unique system that works with your spiritual and emotional wellbeing and which essentially moves you toward a deeper understanding of yourself. Aura-Soma utilises the visual and non-visual energies of colour, and the energies of essential oils, herbal extracts, crystals and gems, contained within 108 beautiful “Equilibrium” bottles that assist in opening the doors to the transformation of consciousness. I just love the whole concept behind Jonathon Fisher’s Wake Up Sydney, especially the Kindness Cards that read
“Do something kind and leave this card behind to keep the ripple going.”
All in the name of helping to ignite a more kind, conscious and sustainable world. What he is creating is a wonderful inspiration.
Do you sometimes find yourself in a rut? Have you been telling yourself that you’re going to start that exercise regime or healthy eating or drinking less alcohol or quit smoking or starting that activity or much thought about dream? The only thing disabling you is YOU. It may be a hard pill to swallow but that is the reality. Your lifestyle is a result of the choices you make. Continue reading
